cheers for all the replies everyone, i went to my mates last night and took some tick sachets and followed the instructions, suprisingly enough the jill has tamed down a hell of a lot within the week ive had her with a good bit of handling, anyway i applied the stuff and got a call late last night and the tick has gone, so now begins the clear up.. just want to thank Ditch Shitter for his advice and its nice to see that there are members out there with a simple yet practical solution to the problem in hand, as im the one who has to pass the info on it takes a huge weight off my mind thanks mate :victory:

one of my boys had a tick in his ear a while back, fell off after a couple of days. ticks seem to go for ferrets ears, probably because it's one of the few bits they can actually bite into!

its also a very good place to find blood near the surface
